Devoted supporters of the actress are demanding that a man who breached a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was due to attend court on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to greet the cast of Wicked

Many of fans had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected relationship between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen award recognitions, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
